Each summer Greylock strives to provide a menu of balanced and healthy meals to our campers and staff. Greylock contracts with one of the premier food service companies in the country, Sodexho, to provide the camp with a professional organization of chefs, prep-cooks, bakers, and salad makers. This not only improves the quality of the food, it provides stable, adult leadership to our dining hall, as well as allowing our directors to focus their attention on the children at camp and during meals.

Each meal has multiple options for entrees, a vegetable, a full salad bar, soup, and a dessert. We barbeque two times each week and serve “kosher-style” food, with no ham, pork or shellfish. In deference to campers with allergy issues, Greylock is nut-free.

A typical weekly breakfast menu includes French toast, pancakes, waffles, eggs, bagels, fruit, and an array of cold and hot cereals. A typical weekly lunch menu includes chicken wings, nuggets, tacos, pizza, macaroni & cheese, pasta, cold cuts, and grilled cheese. A typical weekly dinner menu includes chicken, turkey, steak, pasta, BBQ beef ribs, beef hot dogs, hamburgers, and Chinese food. Dessert is served at two meals each day, and includes ice cream, cake, pie, brownies, Rice Krispie treats, or cookies. Food is served cafeteria style so that boys can pick which items they want and not have items they do not want.

Ice water is on each table for all meals, and there are numerous milk, juice, and drink machines throughout the dining hall, which is situated in the middle of campus. It is always open so that campers can stop in between meals and get a piece of fruit for a snack or a drink. Campers eat at round tables and are supervised by staff at every meal, who strongly encourage good table manners and an expansion of their culinary repertoire.
