It is the intangibles at Greylock that are at the heart of our difference from other camps. These are things that are not easily identified from a brochure, a web site, a camp DVD, or a one-hour tour of the campus. We believe that Greylock has a sense of purpose in the lives of our campers. We are a place where there is a lot more going on than just fun, sports, and friendships. We want our camp to be a place where children are taught good values and the difference between right and wrong. We want camp to be a place where the campers will feel safe, can be themselves, feel comfortable trying new things, and develop empathy for their fellow campmates. These are not our words - they are the words of alumni that come back to camp each summer to visit and to tell us about the differences Greylock has made in their lives.

Greylock's five directors each bring a unique skill set to camp from their life experiences and educational backgrounds that give a wonderful direction to camp. Their work is supplemented by a dedicated and caring staff. In interactions with the campers, each member of the staff, from our head counselors through our support staff, have an overriding
understanding that they are working with other people's children and shoulder that responsibility with understanding and respect. The entire staff is committed to doing the very best job that they possibly can.
